Rules Committee Publishes 1 Month Continuing Resolution

Over the weekend, the House Rules Committee published a committee draft of a bill that would serve as a 31-day continuing resolution. The bill, entitled “Continuing Appropriations and Border Security Enhancement Act, 2024”, would extend current government spending at a reduced rate through October 31st, 2023. Current spending rates would be reduced by 8.1285 %, except for defense, veterans affairs, and disaster relief. The bill would also include two Divisions related to border control and immigration.

The House Rules Committee is scheduled to meet this afternoon on formulating a rule for the consideration of the bill.
