Yesterday, the House Rules Committee met again to draft a
rule for the consideration of HR 4365, the
Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2024. This bill was originally
scheduled to be considered last week (no
action taken) and re-scheduled
for earlier this week (rule
for consideration failed). The rule crafted last night appears to be a
duplicate (as far as H 4565 is concerned) of the rule that failed earlier this
week. The four amendments that I discussed
earlier [removed from paywall] remain on the list of amendments to be
proposed on the floor. Debate on the rule is expected to start
shortly after 9:00 am EDT with vote on rule at about 10:30.
