A 2,000-lb supersack of solid ‘chlorine’ substance exposed to moisture and began outgassing chlorine. No injuries or damages reported.

NOTE: One article says 2,000-lb sack and another says 200-lb sack. The first is more likely, a ‘200-lb’ sack is just unreasonable.

Carrington, ND – 7-5-24

CPKC train derailment with 29 railcars off the tracks, some of them burning. Hazmat cars involved included anhydrous ammonia, sulfur and methanol. No injuries and no evacuations have been reported.
