Review – FAA Publishes 60-Day HAZMAT Training ICR Revision

Today the DOT’s Federal Aviation Administration published a 60-day information collection request (ICR) revision notice in the Federal Register (90 FR 25742) for “Hazardous Materials Training Requirements”. In addition to making changes to the burden estimate, the FAA is proposing to change the title of the ICR to “Hazardous Materials Program Requirements” to better reflect the information collected.

The proposed burden estimate and the current estimate are shown below:

NOTE: Today’s notice does not actually state the number of response. The table numbers were calculated from the time/response and burden estimate numbers from the notice.

Public Comments

The FAA is soliciting public comments on this notice. Comments may be submitted via the Federal eRulemaking Portal (www.regulations.gov: Docket # FAA-2025-0493. Comments should be submitted by August 18th, 2025.
