The House Rules Committee web site now has a link to both HR
2410, the FY 2014 Ag
spending bill, and the Appropriations
Committee Report (H. Rept 113-116). Having done a quick review of both, I
can find no specific mention of potential chemical security, chemical safety or
cybersecurity mentions in the bill (beyond an appropriation for cybersecurity
measures for the Department’s computer networks.
I still suspect that we will see a floor amendment to this
bill that would in some way appropriate monies for addressing AG related chemical
security issues. It might even be mentioned in tomorrow’s Rules Committee Hearing.
