Review - HSAR Final Rule for Protecting CUI

DHS published a Homeland Security Acquisition Regulation (HSAR) final rule in the Federal Register (88 FR 40560-40603) for “Safeguarding of Controlled Unclassified Information”. This final rule implements security and privacy measures to safeguard CUI and facilitate improved incident reporting to DHS. The notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) for this action was published on January 19th, 2017.

This final rule is effective July 21^st, 2023.
