Yesterday, with both the House and Senate in session, there were 74 bills introduced. Two of those bills may receive additional attention in this blog:
HR
4032 To require the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration
and the Secretary of Energy to exercise leadership in the creation of Federal
and international policies relating to the safe and efficient use of hydrogen
to increase aviation decarbonization and reduce air and noise pollution, and
for other purposes. Johnson,
Henry C. "Hank," Jr. [Rep.-D-GA-4]
S 1927 A bill to require the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration to develop a comprehensive unmanned aircraft system integration strategy, and for other purposes. Peters, Gary C. [Sen.-D-MI]
I will be watching HR 4032 for language that addresses the issue of security of hydrogen storage facilities or relationships with the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS) program.
I will be watching S 1927 for language that addresses the
inaction of the FAA on implementing the congressional mandate for registering
critical infrastructure facilities as no-fly zones for UAS.
