The Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB)
published a notice in today’s Federal Register (78 FR 20089-20090) that it would be holding a
public meeting in Richmond, CA on April 19th, 2013 to discuss
the results of their
investigation of the August 6th, 2012 fire at the Chevron
Refinery in Richmond that killed one employee and caused 15,000 residents to
seek medical attention.
The CSB Staff will make a presentation on their proposed
interim report and safety recommendations. After a period of public comment,
the Board may vote on whether or not to approve the proposed report and
recommendations.
