Yesterday, the House took up HR 1123, the Understanding Cybersecurity of Mobile Networks Act, under their suspension of the rules process. After limited debate, with no voices raised in opposition, the House voted 393 to 22 to approve the bill. The bill now goes to the Senate for possible consideration.
The no votes on the bill all came from Republicans, most of
whom were on the original list of folks who voted against Rep McCarthy for
Speaker earlier this year.
