Yesterday, the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) announced that it had received from TSA the proposed revision for their information collection request on “Pipeline Corporate Security Reviews and Security Directives”. TSA published the 30-day ICR notice for this revision last month.
In the notice TSA noted that they were modifying the questionnaire used to collect the voluntary Pipeline Corporate Security Review information, by removing a number of the cybersecurity questions from the questionnaire. Those questions were being moved to a different ICR document. TSA reported in the notice that this would reduce the ICR burden but did not provide any data on amount of burden reduction involved. Supporting data provided to OIRA includes the burden change. The table below summarizes that data. That 40-hour burden reduction is reflected in the total burden reduction from 60,220-hrs to 60,180-hrs.
