With the Senate in full session and the House in pro forma
session yesterday eleven bills were introduced. One of those bills may be of
specific interest to readers of this blog:
S
2644 A bill to reauthorize the Federal Communications Commission for fiscal
years 2017 and 2018, and for other purposes. Sen.
Thune, John [R-SD]
As Congress has begun putting relatively minor cybersecurity
provisions into authorization bills, I am expanding the number of bills that I
look at for those provisions. I’m not planning on expanding my general coverage
of government organizations to the FCC, but if there are cybersecurity
provisions in the bill of significance, you will hear more about this bill.
