This weekend the DHS Infrastructure Security Compliance
Division (ISCD) published their Fact
Sheet on the CFATS Personnel Surety Program (PSP) that I had discussed
last week. The Fact Sheet outlines the requirements for the new Terrorist
Screening Database vetting program that ISCD is establishing to complete the
personnel surety program requirements outlined in 6
CFR 27.230(a)(12)(iv). The new PSP program was approved by the OMB’s Office
of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) on August 27th.
I described the new requirements for the TSDB vetting
portion of the PSP in an earlier
post, but more definitive details are expected in the near future in the
form of a Federal Register notice outlining how ISCD will be implementing the
new requirements.
