The Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board (CSB)
published a meeting notice in today’s Federal Register (80 FR
62014-62015) for a public meeting in Washington, DC on October 21st,
2015. The Board will discuss and approve the final
report on the Caribbean
Petroleum incident. A draft of this report was presented at an earlier meeting, but
there were not enough CSB Board Members at the time to take action on the
report.
The Board will also discuss:
• Pending investigations
(including: ExxonMobil Torrance, West Fertilizer, Freedom Industries, DuPont
LaPorte, Macondo, and Williams Olefin);
• CSB action plan for FY 2015; and
• Chairperson Vanessa Allen Sutherland’s overview of
her first 60 days.
The public is invited to attend and the meeting will be
webcast. There will be a period for public comments at the meeting and written
comments may be submitted (via email - public@csb.gov).
