DHS CERT CSSP Calendar Page Update 03-03-10
This has been a busy day for web heads at DHS; another page was updated today, the DHS CERT Control System Security Program Calendar web page was updated with a number of new course offerings listed. I don’t have a lot of time to look into this today, so I’ll just mention the course that DHS CERT will be offering at the Process Control & SCADA Security Summit at the end of this month (for more information on that summit see their brochure).
According to the Summit web page the DHS CERT people will be offering (free of charge) “a one-day introductory training course covering control systems cybersecurity challenges facing the nation's critical infrastructures. The course discusses the importance of securing control systems from cyber attacks and concepts for implementing mitigation strategies. Participants will also gain an understanding of how to start improving the cybersecurity posture of their control system networks.”
This looks like it might be an interesting summit and the cost of the DHS course can’t be beat. Plus this is all happening in Orlando, FL at the end of March. What could be wrong with attending?
