OMB Approves EPA TSCA TCE Extension IFR

Yesterday the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) announced that it had approved an interim final rule (IFR) on “Trichloroethylene (TCE); Regulation under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA); Compliance Date Extension”. The IFR was submitted to OIRA on September 4^th, 2025. This rulemaking was not listed in the Spring 2025 Unified Agenda.

I do not expect to cover this IFR in any detail when it is published in the Federal Register in the coming weeks. At a minimum I will note its publication, however, in the appropriate ‘Short Takes’ post.
