Yesterday the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory
Affairs (OIRA) announced
that it had approved a new information collection request from the DHS’ Coast
Guard on “Cybersecurity Plans”. This ICR supports the requirements of the final
rule on “Cybersecurity in the Marine Transportation System” that was
published on January 17th, 2025. The table below shows the approved
burden estimate for that ICR.
The final rule had an effective date
of July 16th, 2025. With the approval of this ICR, the
administrative requirements allowing for the collection of the security plan
information have been met.
