Yesterday the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) announced that it had received an interim final rule (IFR) from the DOC’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) on “Revisions to the Export Administration Regulations”.
This rulemaking (0694-AK20) was not listed in the Fall 2024
Unified Agenda, so it is difficult to determine what changes to the EAR will be
proposed by this IFR. That makes it impossible to project what coverage this
rulemaking will receive in this blog.
