House Sessions Cancelled this Week – 7-8-25

While yesterday was supposed to be a pro forma session in the House (making up for being summoned to deal with HR 1 last week) leading into a short, 3-day week, Speaker Johnson changed that, announcing that this whole week has been designated a ‘District Work Period’. There will be another pro forma session on Thursday and all of this week’s House hearings have been either cancelled and/or postponed. They will probably return to Washington next week.
