Yesterday, with both the House and Senate in session, there were 52 bills introduced. Of those, four may receive additional coverage in this blog:
HR
9520 To require the National Cyber Director to submit to Congress a plan to
establish an institute within the Federal Government to serve as a centralized
resource and training center for Federal cyber workforce development. Fallon,
Pat [Rep.-R-TX-4]
HR
9523 To provide for the hiring and training of certain personnel at the
Department of Homeland Security, and for other purposes. Lee,
Laurel M. [Rep.-R-FL-15]
HR
9532 To provide for the hiring and training of certain personnel at the
Department of Homeland Security, and for other purposes. Wasserman Schultz, Debbie [Rep.-D-FL-25]
S 5015 A bill to provide for the hiring and training of certain personnel at the Department of Homeland Security, and for other purposes. Cornyn, John [Sen.-R-TX]
I will be covering HR 9520.
I will be watching HR 9523, HR 9532, and S 5015 for language
and definitions that would indicate that the ‘certain personnel’ referred to in
the bill description refer to cybersecurity personnel and/or chemical security
personnel.
