S 2803 Introduced – FY 2022 Surface Authorization Act

Last week, Sen Lee (R,UT) introduced S 2803, the Transportation Empowerment Act. This appears to be a Republican alternative to S 2016 though it only addresses highway transportation programs not rail programs. This authorization bill will not be necessary if HR 3684 passes as that contains the ‘necessary’ highway authorization provisions. The bill does not contain any cyber or chemical transportation provisions.
