CISA Publishes 2021 Chemical Security Seminars Preliminary Agenda

This week CISA updated the Chemical Security Summit web page to include a link to the preliminary agenda for this year’s Chemical Security Seminars in December. The preliminary agenda outlines the presentations that will be made during the three-day (12-1-21, 12-8-21, and 12-15-21) virtual summit.

The main presentations include:

• State of Chemical Security,

• Industry Perspective on Threat Landscape,

• FBI Chemical Security Threat Briefing,

• FBI Case Study on Economic Espionage in the Chemical Sector,

• Case Study on Brenntag’s Phishing Attack + Stop, Think, Click Campaign,

• Physical-Cyber Convergence and Implementation of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework in the Private Sector,

• Case Study on Historical Chlorine Shortage, Impact to the Water Sector Supply Chain, and Federal Response, and

• Case Study on Disaster Planning and Preparedness.

Breakout sessions planned for the first day include:

• Risk-Based Performance Standards (RBPS) Deep Dive,

• Voluntary Chemical Security Programs, and

• Jack Rabbit III Update.

Breakout sessions planned for the third day include:

• Personnel Surety Program (PSP) Overview and Demonstration,

• CISA Exercises Workshop,

• Drones: Unauthorized and Legitimate Uses, and

• Probabilistic Analysis for National Threats, Hazards, and Risks (PANTHR) Overview.

Registration remains open through November 30th, 2021.
