As Congress gets ready to take its Thanksgiving Day recess a
total of 83 bills were introduced yesterday. Most of these are not intended to
actually be considered or passed. They are intended to provide the
congresscritter with bragging rights before specific home audiences. None the
less, two of the bills may be of specific interest to readers of this blog;
both dealing with pipeline safety.
S 1767 Latest Title: A bill to
amend title 49, United States Code, to require gas pipeline facilities to
accelerate the repair, rehabilitation, and replacement of high-risk pipelines
