DOJ Terrorism Victim Reimbursement Rule Approved by OMB

Yesterday the RegInfo.gov web site announced that the Office of Management and Budget had approved a DOJ interim final rule dealing with providing reimbursement of victims of international terrorism. As I mentioned in January when this rule was submitted to OMB, this is a ‘new’ DOJ initiative that was not included in the Administration’s Unified Agenda printed in December (75 FR 79449).

The OMB approval was ‘Consistent with Change’ which presumably means that OMB is requiring some relatively minor changes to the document before it is published in the Federal Register. I suppose that we can expect to see this in the next couple of weeks.
