Yesterday, with only the Senate in session, 18 bills were
introduced. Only one of those bills may be of specific interest to readers of
this blog:

bill to amend the Toxic Substances Control Act, and for other purposes. Sen.
Boxer, Barbara [D-CA]
This bill is almost certainly an alternative to the
bipartisan TSCA
bill introduced earlier this week. Boxer has
complained about the pre-emption of State chemical safety rules in that
bill.
It is extremely unlikely that this bill will ever see any
action in the Republican controlled Senate.
