The House started their Valentine’s Day recess a couple of
days early, but there were 22 bills introduced in the Senate; one of which
might be of specific interest to readers of this blog:
S 2019 Latest Title: A bill to
reauthorize and update certain provisions of the Secure Water Act. Sponsor: Sen
Schatz, Brian (D,HI)
Given the recent Freedom spill, there could be all sorts of
interesting chemical safety measures included in this authorization bill. We
will just have to wait and see when the bill gets printed.
