Freight Rail Safety

On Tuesday, the Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee will hold a hearing on “Examining Freight Rail Safety”. The witness list (two panels) includes:

Amit Bose, FRA,
Thomas B. Chapman, NTSB,
Roy L. Morrison, Teamsters,
Don Grissom, TCU/IAM,
Grady C. Cothen Jr., Consultant,
Nathan Bachman, Loram Technologies,
Cindy Sanborn, Norfolk Southern, and
Jeremy Ferguson, Sheet Metal, Air, Rail, Transportation Union

Panel 2 is packed with union representatives, I suspect that there may be some complaints about railroad safety short cuts.
