Yesterday with just the Senate meeting in Washington (the House working on a Hearing Week), there were 23 bills introduced. One of those bills may receive additional coverage in this blog:
S 1984 A bill to require the Secretary of Transportation to establish a grant program to improve the functioning of traffic signals through the implementation of innovative technology, and for other purposes. Sen. Romney, Mitt [R-UT].
I will be watching S 1984 for language or definitions that
would indicate that the grants specifically require or cover cybersecurity requirements
for the covered traffic control systems. I am not going to hold my breath.
