As the House heads home for an early start to their 2-week
Easter Recess the House and Senate introduced 72 bills yesterday. Only one of
those will be of specific interest to readers of this blog:
S 2244 Latest Title: A bill to
extend the termination date of the Terrorism Insurance Program established
under the Terrorism Insurance Act of 2002, and for other purposes. Sponsor: Sen
Schumer, Charles E. (D,NY)
This bill joins
HR 508, HR 1945, and HR 2146 in trying to craft a reauthorization of this
program. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, is different about
this bill.
