The House Homeland Security Committee’s Subcommittee on
Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Protection, and Security Technologies has updated
the information on their hearing tomorrow on "Oversight of Executive
Order 13636 and Development of the Cybersecurity Framework". They have
added a witness list which includes, as
I predicted (though it didn’t take any great skill) it includes a representative
from NIST and NPPD.
The witness list includes:
• Dr. Eric A. Fisher, Congressional
Research Service;
• Mr. Robert Kolasky,
Implementation Task Force, National Protection and Programs, DHS; and
• Dr. Charles H. Romine,
Information Technology Laboratory, NIST
I was kind of hoping to see testimony posted to the site,
but it isn’t there yet. I don’t expect any great revelations, but it may be an
interesting hearing. It will be particularly interesting to hear what the CRS
has to say about the Cybersecurity Framework as the other two witnesses are expected
to be chearleaders.
