Madison, WI – 5-13-25

There was an explosion in a laboratory where red phosphorous was being handled. One person was injured by flames that ignited their shirt. That person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Damages were confined inside of a lab hood.

Possible CSB reportable if person was admitted to the hospital.

There was a chlorine leak at a wastewater treatment plant. No injuries were reported. Nearby residents were told to shelter-in-place.
