Yesterday, the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) announced that it had approved a final rule for the DOC’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) on “Corrections to the EAR [Export Administration Regulations]”. This rulemaking was sent to OIRA on October 23rd, 2023.
According to the entry in the Spring 2023 Unified Agenda for this rulemaking:
“The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) publishes this final rule to correct inadvertent errors to two recent BIS Federal Register publications. These changes are merely technical corrections.”
A quick turnaround at OIRA for this rule making. We will
probably see this published in the Federal Register next week.
