Yesterday with the House and Senate on their 4th of July Recess (through Sunday), and the House meeting in pro forma session, there were 17 bills introduced. Two of those bills may receive additional coverage in this blog:
HR 4357 To amend the Homeland Security Act of 2002 to make certain reforms to the Department of Homeland Security, and for other purposes. Rep. Thompson, Bennie G. [D-MS-2]
HR 4372 Making appropriations for the Department of the Interior, environment, and related agencies for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2022, and for other purposes. Rep. Pingree, Chellie [D-ME-1]
I will be watching HR 4357 for language addressing cybersecurity or chemical security oversight responsibilities, but I think this will be more or less restricted to immigration issues since the cosponsors are all Democrats.
I will be watching this spending bill for cybersecurity
related language, but I do not really expect to find any, but that may change
when the bill gets to the floor of the House for amendments.
