House and Senate Approve HR 2112

Today both the House and Senate approved HR 2112 in a substantially bipartisan vote, both in favor and in opposition. The House voted 298 to 121, with the bulk of the Nays coming from Republicans. The Senate voted 70 to 30, with all of the Nays coming from Republicans.

When the bill is signed by the President, probably tomorrow, it will extend spending authority until December 16th. It will provide a similar extension to a number of Federal programs, including the CFATS program.
