TSA Highway Security ICR
Today the Transportation Security Administration published a notice in the Federal Register announcing that it had sent a request to the Office of Information and
Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), to reinstate the approval of a previously approved (OMB control number 1652-0036) Information Collection Request.
The ICR deals with the collection of information from owners and operators of school bus, motor coach, and trucking (general freight and hazardous materials) companies during corporate security review visits by TSA Surface Inspectors. The information collected during these face-to-face visits is used to “establish the current state of security practices for highway modes of transportation. TSA will then be able to make policy and programmatic decisions to improve the overall security posture within the surface transportation community.” (74 FR 57326)
Comments on this ICR should be submitted to OIRA (oira_submission@omb.eop.gov) by December 7th, 2009. Additional information can be obtained from TSA about this ICR by contacting:
