NIAC Meeting 07-13-10

Today the DHS National Protection and Programs Directorate announced in the Federal Register that the National Infrastructure Advisory Council would be holding a public meeting on July 13th at 1:30 pm EDT in Washington, D.C. The focus of this meeting will be on resiliency issues. The agenda includes updates from two working groups; A Framework for Establishing Critical Infrastructure Resilience Goals and Optimization of Resources for Mitigating Infrastructure Disruptions. Both reflect the Secretary’s recent focus on enabling the country to rebound from man-made or natural disasters. The meeting is open to the public, but participation will be limited to the Council members and invited participants. Because of the late notice provided on this meeting, the deadline for the public to submit written comments has been extended to July 12th. Comments can be submitted to www.regulations.gov (Docket # DHS-2010-0058).
