There was a large (1 million gallons) sulfuric acid spill during a construction accident. Two people were sent to the hospital and 40 others were treated on scene for exposure. The spill was mostly contained with some relatively small amount released into the harbor.

Possible CSB reportable.

Trenton, KY – 12-30-25

There was a 31-car train derailment that resulted in a molten sulfur spill. No injuries were reported. A nearby road was closed for a week due to debris on the road.
