Yesterday the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) announced that it had received an interim final rule (IFR) from the DOC’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) on “Export Control Framework for Artificial Intelligence Diffusion”. This rulemaking was not listed in the Spring 2024 Unified Agenda.
NOTE: I cannot wait to see how BIS is going to define ‘artificial
intelligence diffusion’….
