Yesterday with the House meeting in pro forma session there
were 50 bills introduced. Of those one may receive additional attention in this
blog:
HR
7956 To amend title 17, United States Code, to address circumvention of
copyright protection systems with respect to the maintenance or repair of
critical medical infrastructure, and for other purposes. Rep.
Clarke, Yvette D. [D-NY-9]
It looks like this bill may be a companion bill to S 4473
that was introduced on Thursday. Again, if this is a ‘right-to-repair’ bill, I
will be watching the language and definitions for security related impacts.
NOTE: Most of the bills introduced in the House during this
prolonged summer recess will be bills targeted at fund raising and politicking.
This is true of a certain number of bills in the normal process, but it is even
more so during this recess. And even smaller percentage of these bills will
receive any additional action in the House than normal.
