Yesterday the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory
Affairs announced
that it had received Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) Interim Guidance from the
DOT’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). They listed this as ‘pre-rule’,
but there is no listing for this rulemaking in the 2015 Fall Unified Agenda.
There is also no specific mention of this on the DOT’s Intelligent Transportation System web page.
It will be interesting to see how cybersecurity is addressed
in this guidance.
