Bills Introduced – 02-12-16

Yesterday as the House and Senate prepared to leave for a week long recess there were 31 bills introduced. Of these, only one may be of specific interest to readers of this blog:

HR 4578 To amend title 49, United States Code, to provide for minimum safety standards for underground gas storage facilities, and for other purposes. Rep. Sherman, Brad [D-CA-30]

It is interesting that this bill was introduced on the day that the Porter Ranch gas leak in Southern California was reported as being blocked. It will be interesting to see what ‘other purposes’ were added to this bill’s coverage.
