In writing my weekly
post about congressional hearings for the coming week I noted that the list
of Senate hearings looked a little light and commented that it could have been
because of staff being out of town. It looks like I was right; a large number
of hearings were added to the
list today including a cybersecurity hearing.
The Homeland Security Subcommittee of the Senate
Appropriations Committee will be holding a
hearing on “From Protection to Partnership: Funding the DHS role in
Cybersecurity". The witness list includes:
∙ Andy Ozment, Office of
Cybersecurity and Communication, DHS;
∙ Luke McCormack, Chief Information
Officer, DHS; and
∙ Greg Garcia, Executive Director, Financial
Services Sector Coordinating Council
I expect that there will be questions about the new cybersecurity
organizations created by Presidential Executive Order.
