Yesterday 11 bills were introduced in the House and Senate.
Only one of these may be of specific interest to readers of this blog:

- To authorize appropriations for the Coast Guard for fiscal year 2015, and
for other purposes. Sponsor Rep.
Hunter, Duncan D. [R-CA-50]
Back in March the House passed HR 4005
on the same topic. That bill has not been considered by the Senate. Apparently
the House and Senate transportation committees have
worked out their differences and this new bill reflects a version that
should be able to pass in both houses of congress before the session ends.
A quick look at the bill
table of content shows no mention of MTSA, TWIC, or chemical transportation
safety.
The bill has been added to the list of the bills that
are to be considered under suspension of the rules today.
