Louisville, KY – 11-12-24

There was an explosion at a food dye plant. Part of the facility collapsed and nearby residences were damaged. Two employees were killed and 11 were taken to local hospitals. No cause of the explosion, nor report of the chemicals involved, have been published.

CSB reportable.

NOTE: In 2003 the CSB investigated another explosion at this facility.;

There was a chlorine leak at the local water treatment plant. One employee was transported to the hospital.

Possible CSB reportable, depending on if the employee was admitted to the hospital.
