On Friday, with both the House and Senate meeting in pro
forma session, there were 11 bills introduced. Of these, one may be of specific
interest to readers of this blog:
HR 4918
To authorize dedicated domestic terrorism offices within the Department of
Homeland Security, the Department of Justice, and the Federal Bureau of
Investigation to analyze and monitor domestic terrorist activity and require
the Federal Government to take steps to prevent domestic terrorism. Rep.
Schneider, Bradley Scott [D-IL-10]
I will be watching this bill for its definition of domestic
terrorism to see if it specifically includes cyber activities and how those
activities are defined. I doubt that it will address attacks on control
systems.
