EPA Withdraws RQ Adjustment NPRM

Yesterday the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA) announced that the EPA had withdrawn its notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) regarding possible modifications to reportable quantities. The NPRM was submitted earlier this month.

No reason was given for the rulemaking’s withdrawal. Having said that, this is not the typical Trump Administration removal of an Obama Administration rulemaking, so I suspect that we may see this rulemaking resubmitted sometime in the future.

EPA Sends RQ Modification NPRM to OMB

Yesterday the OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs announced that it had received a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) from the EPA concerning modifications to reportable quantities. The EPA’s Office of Land and Emergency Management (the originating office for this NPRM) administers a number of programs that include reportable quantity standards, so it is difficult to determine which program(s) this will effect, especially since this rulemaking was not included in the Fall 2017 Unified Agenda.
