I take notes...Patrick,<br /><br />On the source of the data:<br /><br />I take notes while the meeting goes on. Since I'm not a stenographer, they're not verbatim. I occasionally use quotes, where I'm sure that's how the speaker worded it, but ordinarily I'm just presenting the gist.<br /><br />The transmission path, from the speaker's lips to the room's audio system (the output of which can vary significantly in quality) to my telephone to my ears to my fingers and subsequently to my eyes and back to my fingers when composing my post, provides numerous opportunities for corruption of the information, but I try to be as accurate as I can.<br /><br />I believe that the two quoted excerpts accurately portray what was said (in the first case, by Mr. Schwartz), although the month-long delay in getting around to this post (sometimes I have to work for a living) wiped out my short-term memory of the meeting and I was forced to rely solely on my notes.<br /><br />Regards,<br /><br />JohnJohn C.
