Update on Cyber Espionage Hearing

The House Energy and Commerce Committee has updated their hearing web site with additional information about tomorrow’s hearing on “Cyber Espionage and the Theft of U.S. Intellectual Property and Technology” including links to the prepared testimony of the witnesses that I listed in yesterday’s congressional hearing blog post.

I don’t see any mention of control system issues in the prepared testimony. In fact, only one actually concentrates on cyber-espionage, the testimony from Mr. Wortzel. The other three witnesses look at intellectual property theft in general with emphasis on cyber IP theft.

Oh well, I suppose that control system espionage isn’t that important; at least until someone uses the information gained to actually attack that control system. I guess we’ll just have to wait for evidence of that to convince Congress to look at the issue.
