HSAC Teleconference Update

Last month I reported (see: “Homeland Security Advisory Council Teleconference”) that the Homeland Security Advisory Council would be holding a teleconference to review the ten “most pressing strategic-level challenges” that will face the next DHS Secretary. I noted that HSAC was accepting public input on the topic. As of the close of the comment period last Friday, there were no comments filed on the www.regulations.gov web site.

It is a shame that with so many people commenting on the DHS transition plan in the press and blogosphere that not one bothered to place a comment in the public record where it might be acted upon. It will be interesting to see what the HSAC comes up with for its top ten challenges. I would be willing to bet that chemical facility security does not make the list.
